Narne House

The Narne Family were forced to move from their home so they built this house

Men from the branch came many days to help. There was lots of bamboo trees on the property so they were used for the construction
 

President Gonzales allowed them to build their house on his property

When they had to move in it was far from finished

As the weeks went by it began to take shape

They got some chickens and pigs

And a well

This is what it looked like the last time we saw it, still a lot of work to do. The power was hooked up after we left.

He had a whole army and fences  set up, all made from sticks.

Youth Conference and Mission Reunion

This year the youth conference was held at a resort in Bataan. We were ask to give a seminar on dating!

President and Sister Martino held a mission reunion for the Filipino missionaries who will not be able to attend regular mission reunions in the US.

We got to see Sister Lalata and Sister Evangelista again

They wanted to do a service project so they painted this wall near the mission home

After the reunion these girls came and stayed with us while they visited former friends and contacts in Camiling.

Baptisms and Birthdays

During our last weeks we were able to attend several baptisms. This was the first baptisms in Branch 1 in almost a year

Another for Branch 1. This man married a member and was anxious to join the church.

At the Bamban baptism the whole room was filled with teenagers that were there to support their friend.

These girls were all dressed in blue to attend an 18th birthday party. Girls have a big party for their 18th birthday.

Primary MTC

The Primary had a program for the children that was like a mini MTC and they ask us to be the MTC President and wife.

Helping future missionaries

We have been able to help two more young men earn the money for their mission before we leave to go home.

They did yard work for Elder and Sister Woodruff

And they helped us paint apartments, Rey and Bonnie

When we pay them we sit with them and help them fill out their donation slip to make sure they get it all done and are ready to go. We have enjoyed being able to help get these young men and women on their way, they will be good missionaries.

I don't know how many of these lunch's we have done, maybe 10 or 12 but this is the last one before we go home.

We gave them sloppy joe's and salads  They are happy with anything.

The house was plenty big but we never had enough chairs

Next to eating their favorite thing to do is play games

Daily Living

One day while doing house checks in Paniqui we came out to our car and found we couldn't leave because there was a parade going on. It was the first real parade we had seen and we enjoyed watching. It was a children's parade but very much like a parade at home

This was our last multi zone conference and we had to say good by to Sister Bwariti from Christmas Island.
